To finish our Bali trip, it was a must to end up in Ubud. It’s here I feel the most inspired. Again, we found a beautiful characteristic home, a traditional wooden Joglo nestled deep in the rice paddies. We ate our way though some very special, healing foods but mainly we enjoyed the peace and quiet of our base. We would go on random wanders, take around 5-6 outdoor showers a day (for obvious reasons) and really live that slow life I have come to appreciate so much. It was here we were able to really switch off and recharge.
The Rice Joglo – A little out of the main area, located 15-20 minutes up a walking track through the paddies. Uniquely designed with all the beautiful nooks for reading and resting and the most incredible bathroom I have ever seen. We stayed in the Ravine Suite and booked through AirBnB.
- The Seeds of Life – We ate here twice in 3 days, a perfect example go how much we loved this place. Plant based deliciousness with many superfoods to make you feel your best. We loved the healing elixirs and comfy setting. This place has also recreated one of my favourite dishes, gnocchi gorgonzola but this time it was healthy and made only with plants, yes!
- La Pacha Mama – Wow, oh wow. This was our treat date night. Not only was the food, cocktails and service some of the best I’ve had in Bali they also had a Mexican themed live band play too. Tip – try the Jackfruit Medallions they are out of this world.
- Sari Organik – This was a god option on the walk to our Joglo serving all organic foods and that craft beer we are always in search of. It also has a beautiful view of the Rice Paddies
- Lazy Cats Cafe – This place is stunning and has a lovely range of Tapas Dishes which are very vegetarian/vegan friendly.
